Staying True to Our Mission, Toward a better future!

Those who have participated in Kon Wen Cultural Foundation’s programs and initiatives will surely remember the radiant smiles of children filled with confidence and hope for the future. These are the moments we cherish the most. Over the years, we have explored countless ways to create opportunities for children, striving to reach out and uplift every uncertain heart. Every life is precious, and every child holds boundless potential. As long as we are willing to give, they will have the opportunity to embrace a different future!

For the past 35 years, we have conducted 119 public welfare academic diagnostic programs, providing over 15,000 children with academic assessments. These efforts help identify gaps in knowledge and abilities, offering appropriate guidance to both children and their parents so they can better understand their current situation, address challenges, and build a strong academic foundation. Our commitment to promoting reading has led us to host more than 150 reading activities annually, encouraging family reading and sharing the joy of books. To date, over 850,000 participants have attended our lifelong learning lectures, and we continue to provide educational resources to disadvantaged students in remote areas. Our mission is to give them more choices in life and help them shape their own bright futures.

On October 28, 2024, Kon Wen Cultural Foundation held its 35th-anniversary celebration at The Lin Hotel Taichung, joined by its board members and supervisors. Ms. Winnie Chao, the President, delivered the opening speech, followed by a congratulatory message from Supervisor Wu-Tien Wu on behalf of the board. Under the leadership and guidance of Ms. Winnie Chao and the board, we are confident that the foundation will continue to thrive and reach new heights!

Ms. Winnie Chao stated, “I sincerely thank our board members, scholars, teachers, volunteers, and partners who have accompanied us through these 35 years. It is through your wholehearted dedication and support that we have been able to fulfill our vision of talent development. We strive to cultivate outstanding individuals who, in turn, return to contribute their expertise and create a cycle of talent. Kon Wen Cultural Foundation is like a warm and welcoming family where we learn and grow together. As we look ahead to the next 35 years, we will continue to unite our strengths, integrate more resources, and channel positive energy to make our society and nation even better.”
