Facilitated by the Keelung City Department of Education, the foundation introduced KUMON materials at Keelung Municipal ChungHer Elementary School & Keelung Municipal DerHer Elementary School in September 2023. The program targeted second-grade students, with 137 participants engaged in a one academic year mathematics enrichment project.

After diagnostic assessments, most students started with basic addition exercises (+1 to +3). Teachers focused on cultivating good study habits to build a solid academic foundation.

During the learning process, students gradually become able to engage in their studies in a quiet and efficient manner, completing their daily progress independently and proactively.

After a year, the proportion of students completing the diagnostic test within 10 minutes increased by 70%. The average number of correct answers improved by 8%, with students correctly answering an average of 67 out of 70 questions.

Additionally, 38 students advanced to third-grade level exercises, and one student progressed to fifth-grade materials, surpassing their academic year expectations.
